RIP Waldo

Was leaving Shoppers today and glanced at the Winnipeg Free Press (don't worry, I'm still not reading the local news yet). On the cover was a picture of Waldo the grizzly bear from the local zoo. He has passed away at the ripe old age of 36.

I have some fond memories of him when I visited the zoo as a kid with my family, and then later, when I worked there for a couple of years. I would see him every day I worked. I mostly remember him sitting on his rock and pacing back and forth. I always wished he had more space to roam, but when you run a zoo that's free to the public for so many years, I guess you can't expect much expansion.

Bye Waldo, hope you have tons of room to roam now.

My coworker Jheryll got me hooked on this guy today. His name is Aziz Ansari and he's hilarious! Enjoy (warning - some shady language)

Oh, and the "sheets" video reminds me of when I used to work at Pacific Linen and became a crazy linen lady. I'm obsessed about having good bed linens!

The sweetest smell

This beautiful bouquet was delivered to my work this week from Charles. First time I have received flowers at work. So cute!

The roses are lovely, colourful and sweetly fragrant. The smell is intoxicating. They truly are the perfect flower.

Finished bathroom... almost

Wow, it's been awhile since I've posted something. Can't really think of anything to talk about, so I will just post some pics of my finished bathroom.

I should say almost finished. The floor is still not complete as not enough tile was ordered and my beautiful new sink was crushed by a cat. Yep, that's right, my sink is crushed. I had a vase full of flowers on it and one of the beasts pushed the vase over and...crack! So I am now waiting for my floor to be completed and a new sink to be delivered. I'm going backwards! If the tub falls through the floor, I'm packing up and leaving!

Oh well, I just love the new bathroom, so the floor delay and sink breakage have not got me down.
